MEMBERSHIP FORM FOR DETAILS
(revised 4/23/01)
FORMAT:
- Boxes will be set up
monthly
- A box will usually consist of
4 players, playing each other once during the
month
- One point will be awarded for
each game won, and for each match won. Two points will be
awarded for playing all matches.
- In the case of a tie, the
winner is the winner of the head-to-head match. In a three
way tie, the winner is the player who allows the fewest
points to the other players.
RULES:
- Generally, the winner of each
box will move up one level, while the loser will move down a
level. The 2 remaining middle players remain in the same box
for next month's play.
- Matches will be scheduled at
a mutually agreeable time and place by both players. Players
bringing guests to their gym for a home box match are asked
to schedule these games during off peak hours.
- Matches may be played at any
time during the month but must be completed and
reported before midnight of the last day of the
month.
- Any player who fails to show
for a box match that has been mutually scheduled will be
assessed a 3 point penalty from their overall box score. The
box coordinator will verify the 'no show' by speaking with
both players involved. The player who was present at the
scheduled time will be allotted 3 points and the match will
count as being played for that person.
- Players must complete at
least one of their matches to be automatically included in
the next month's box.
- Players may enter or exit the
box league by submitting the online form at the Squash Rochester Boxleague website before
the beginning of the month they wish to enter or
exit.
POSTING OF BOXES:
- A new box will be posted at
this website at the beginning of each new month.
- The results of the previous
month's box and a snapshot of the ladder at the end of the
previous month will be saved.
- It is the responsibility of
each player to visit this website at the beginning of each
new month to view the new box. (Players will not be notified
by email.)
REPORTING SCORES:
- After playing each box match,
the winning player should report the score online at the Squash Rochester Boxleague
website.
- Report only results of games
actually played. No defaults or forfeits are allowed.
Refer to rules section in regards to dealing with "no
shows".

- Awards will be given to the
individual who wins the most boxes throughout the season
(September - March) and to the individual with the highest
participation / matches played rate.
